The most productive time for me is an hour before and after tide change.

About an hour or two after sunset for me in most places. But I have one spot that they don't seem to want to bite, until around 7-9 a.m. Just depends on the location I guess. Good luck!

I have had my most luck from about 5am-10am. Have not fished much them hours this year though. Maybe that is why I am not catching any fish. LMAO

4am-10am / 4pm-1am, seem to be best , at least for channel cats anyway.

for me its 10pm 12am 2am 4am. I can always count on a nice run at about that time every time I go out. My biggest fish have come in the late morning, around 4am, but I have caught some biggens right at sunset.

usually from 8pm till about 11pm, after a 11 it drops off for a while. thats current.
last year we were fishin extremely warm water from a out feed and the fish would bit from dark till about 4am. that was sort of a fluke thoough. but made for damn good times.

Since I only fish cats during the day, my most productive time is 5:30 am until around 11;00am. After 11:00 the bite slows down on most days. That's not always the case though, sometimes they bite good all day.

We Catch Most Of Our Cats As The Suns Going Down And Through The Night Till About 8:00 In The Morning.we Usually Catch 10 To 40 Channels But The Biggest Ones Seem To Bite Late At Night.most Are 1 To 10 Lb. Some Push 30 Lb. But Those Are Rare.

Cats get the most active at sunset and stay active till sun up. thats when (theoreticly) your going to get the most fish, but you can get them to bite in the day.

I think it depends upon the phase of the moon. Full moon and I catch the most between sun down and midnight. No moon and I catch the most right before sunset and right after sunrise.

Scientific? Who knows, but it works everytime!
