Anything is good bait for catfish. Probably catch one on the kitchen sink if you fished it right. LOL

Welcome to the BOC.... Lawrence was right about using the kitchen sink.... although you may want to put some salt and garlic powder on it first....

i have always heard they are especially durin spawnin because they are nest robbers so the cats naturally go for em not only to eat cause they're hungry ,but just to kill em.

they will also stay alive and swim longer than any other live bait.
we call them mudcat here and you cant kill one with a hammer.

    Welcome aboard!
I've never used them as bait, but I have heard they work well. As MRR said, they are pretty good to eat.
