I had a guy tell me the other day that Treble hooks are illegal in the state Virginia, I have searched all over the internet and found nothing to indicate this, anyone know how I can find out for sure? I looked all over the DNR website and could not find a thing about it.

If a treble hook was illegal in the state of Va then the bass fishermen would be in trouble. Also why would the stores sell them if illegal?
I do believe snagging is illegal in the state of Va but no where does it say that treble hooks can not be used. So hook you on a big chunk of fresh shad with an 8/0-12/0 gama circle hook through the nostrils and a nice big treble as a stinger hooked in the back of it and hang on for the ride.

To the best of my knowledge treble hooks are legal anywhere in Virginia EXCEPT on native trout streams located in the Shenandoah National Park or the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Ya that is the only thing I can find, I am just going to give the DNR a call and hopefully get an answer, when he told me I was baffled, and it didn't make much since to me at all.
