Hi everyone, thanks in advance for your help here… I caught a 13 lb flathead, and in one of the filets, as I was washing them off, I noticed three little black thread-like (worms?). Each about a quarter inch long. I

cut them out and here is a picture. Have any of you seen something like this? I didn’t see any in the rest of the meat. They weren’t moving.

Yep, a worm. You removed them, cook and eat the fish.

thanks for the welcome and the advice y’all. I didn’t see any more and I looked with an eagle eye. So maybe I’ll just fry the fillets to a crisp. If there’s another worm in them it’ll be charred by the time I get through with it.

From what I've read just fry it good .They won't hurt you ..remove what you can and call it good ...
