Are the cats spawning in NW Missouri? It's 86 degrees here and humid but was thinking of going around 7ish.If they're spawning and not hitting I don't want to waste my time. Was planning on either a smaller river like the Nodaway or going to a nearby lake. What's ya think? Any info or anyone in my area that's been out and had luck let me know please.

go try the lake, its hot and their going to be close to the surface looking for an easy meal, when it gets hot i prefer to use catalpa worm or dough bait or a dip bait. fish all the underwater structure you can see, if you have a way to get inside a brush pile and dont mind getting hung every so often you are bound to catch some cats also watch for schools fo shad or minnows jumping, its usaully something big behind them  good luck
