Chicken legs?? Cured chicken livers, cut bait (bream, shad, shinners), and worms work best for me.

I've never heard of anyone using crabs for catfishing. I have used live fiddler crabs and crawfish in the brackish waters of the Apalachicola Bay for Redfish and Sheepshead. I normally fish the Chattahoochee River north of the Jim Woodruff Dam to the Alabama state line. Live or cut bream or shad works great.
