Early this morning checking posts, there was a very nice picture of a gentleman with his rod bent, fighting a nice flathead. I can't find that post and I apologize. This man in the picture was taking on that fish with his rod eyes up. Is that the recommended procedure when fighting a large fish? Perhaps is was his control hand that made him turn the rod eyes up or maybe he had those eyes up when the picture was taken. My question: Do you attack them with rod eyes up or down, or does it make any difference?
