Went to apache lake up by the dam and from what I could see a pretty good fish kill is underway with lots of shad and some bluegill floating all over. The tail end of an algae bloom is always a good time to fish as all the dead fish in the water brings out the cats. Didnt catch anything though, not a single bite all night.

Haven't been to Apache in years. When I went, I usually fished the opposite end above Burnt Corral.

I went to Apache Lake last Sat and Sun with the girlfriend in the kayaks. You may have seen us. It was a beautiful trip and I had a line wet all night. Not a single bite. Saw lots of dead shad but no dead gills.
