NC man has the IGFA record for a 30 pound flathead on a 2 pound test.
The same man has held 5 records I believe. All out of the Cape Fear river.

I got lucky and I hold the 16lb line class for Channel Catfish. 44lbs. I was using 12lb test and it tested out at 16lb when I submitted it to IGFA. Man was that a killer fish. Had it weighed on an official scale and let her go.

Here are some of the IGFA records for blue cats on light line: 2lb-36lb9oz,4lb-47lb9oz,6lb-58lbs. Most of the rest are over 100 lbs.
