Havent been since I was a kid. We would just go down to the river and cast bait.
I know Shaver is pretty good with PB and crawlers. Trolling is good there too if you have a boat.
Have you been to Courtright?? 30 fish days possible........

I am mostly a trout guy so if you have ?'s let me know.....

I was told by a local That the best spots are in the camping area, but you can not park in there. There is a long gate that blocks off the camping area. From that gate back down the river for about 100 yards is also good. The other spot is called the old mans spot, but its hard to get in there because of the old men that fish their every morning and that spot is just up from were the people swim. hope that helps.

I have caught some planter trout in the river there using rainbow Powerbait drifted 3' under a half-full waterbobber. I'm told best time is about 2 days after planting.

Or you can put a couple split shots on just under the bobber like I do.

If it is a water float, need to put more water in the float. More water makes it heavier. Plain ole bobber then you would used a shot or two.
