Wish I could Big Ed. Truth is I've been gone from home three weeks with another week left to go. Looking forward to 6 days off and playing with the little ones. I'll possibly catch up another time. I'm sure someone has the 'itch'.

Ed I wouldn't even know where to go? Because of my job I probably can't drive too far but I am interested.

Cuz we respect a good family man! Any advise on where to go nearby??

    Where and when Ed?

Absolute best bet this time of year is anyone of the multitude of dams in and around Paducah, Kentucky. The discharge down in Tennessee is usually a hotspot for some nice sized skips in January as well. I've heard they can be caught at some power plant discharge near Cairo, Illinois but am unfamiliar with the specifics for that location.

I was jonesing to go this past weekend but couldn't find anybody interested. I have a tentative pheasant hunting trip lined up this coming weekend, but if it falls through I'll drop you a line. I've been on vacation for 10 days now and the furthest I've been from home is Cabela's, so I'm due to get out sometime.:smile2: After the travel the last few months I've been pretty content to hang around the house, but I'm starting to get bored and the kids are driving me freaking nuts after 2 solid weeks :smile2:

I packed my downstairs freezer full of them a couple weeks ago. Had to duct tape the door on the freezer shut it was so packed. :smile2:

I went to the Cumberland City, TN steam plant. I think we caught about 150 in about 2 1/2 hours. And that was myself, my 5 year old daughter, and my 8 year old son. So we had plenty of snags, snacks, and potty breaks during that time also. :smile2:
I bet my cast to catch ratio had to have been up around 95%. We could have sat there and hammered them all day I think. But I knew after packing 2 coolers full, my freezer was going to get very small on me, and very quick. So I called it and we headed home.

Pretty sure it was Erin, Tennessee. Its down hwy 149 then go west for a couple of miles. Remember there was a Subway shop there, and if you get the same room as punkin, you'll probably still see his grease print on the sheets. ROFLMFAO :smile2:

Surely by now it would be covered up by newer grease prints? :smile2:
