anyone have any of the "fish on" rod holders on there boats?? what do your think about them?
I have a couple of them and am not real pleased. They don't seem as sturdy as a Scotty rod holder; I was afraid that they would just pop out of holder. I don't use the rod holders anymore, but I use the rail mounts to attach a 2x4 board across the back of my boat. I have a couple of downeast and some driftmasters on the board. These are much stronger and more reliable than the Fish-On's. I think the fish-on holders would be fine for trout, crappie, or walleye, but you run a risk with a large cat.
