I know LOZ and Truman are going to be busier than anything this weekend, but I can't keep myself from going fishing anyway. How many of you are going to brave the crowds (and drivers and boaters) to try it?

I know some of you might have hidden spots to hide your boats or even private land to fish from. Either way the traffic will probably make the fish a bit wary. Maybe the boating traffic will scare the bigguns up into the no-boating area at Truman Dam where I fish (yes I am greedy, but I'll CPR anyway. I hate fish).

I'll be out on Truman Saturday evening and probably again early Monday morning. None of the mid-day stuff for me. Will probably go up the lake far enough to get away from most of the traffic.

I'm thinking I will probably be set up at my usual spot Friday afternoon as soon as I get out of work (somewhere between 10 am and 1 pm) until Saturday morning at about 3 or 4 am. I'll probably hit the spot at about 5 or 6 am Sunday too and be out there until I get too tired. Hopefully for Friday that will have me on the road before everyone else and heading home after everyone else gets off the road.

Friday I am goin to bring my truck and fishing clothes and just skip going home first. This will allow me to try that pond at Windsor for bait.

I will be there don't know yet if I am going down friday or saturday, depends on if I have to work or not. Will be there till tuesday or wednesday. I put in at the ramp at shawnee bend, have an old ford 4x4 flatbed, blue and white, and my boat is a maroon/grey older bass boat with a 110 evinrude on it. No stickers on the boat. It is an 89 Nitro. If you see me on the water or at the ramp give a holler, like to meet people off here. Boog

Not me, I learned my lesson last yr, Had some drunk teenagers hit my boat & do arond $3,100 in damage to it, SURE GLAD I had Insurance, I was mad & upset to say the least, but right after it happenend here comes the water patrol (never been that happy in my life to see them before) & they went right to the kids & escorted them away.

So nope I aint taking the boat anywhere, although I might go down to the lake in our subdivision & let the kids wet their hook for a while & plus they have loads of fun catching the small bluegills.

Hope everyone Has A SAFE & HAPPY Memorial Weekend (Safe being the key word)

Well... I went out tonight for a little while after work, and it's already getting busy out there. I didn't manage to catch a thing, barely a nibble or two. A fellow next to me named Mike was down from Denver visiting his family and managed to catch this 30# blue on his roostertail while fishing for crappie (if I can get a photo to load).

(While I was getting the cameral finally attached to the comp, I now have a photo for my avatar. Hopefully soon I will have one with a nice cat like this one.)

Justn got back about an hour ago been on Truman since Thursday and MAN the boat and seadooers are bad! I really think that there should be an open season on those damn seadooers, the just look for people to mess with. I think you should be able to score points for everyone that you could run down!

Blackhosre, I agree with ya, instead of points should be another limit of fish
