Anyone ever fished with bats?

    saw that yesterday, thought it was funny and kinda cool to see that cats going after it, but never even thought about using one for bait. how hard would it be to catch a bat?

    Never used bats, never will. I don't think that is a regular item in the diet of a catfish.

    Sure, you can drag around about anything and call it bait, and perhaps if you wait long enough you can even catch something, but NOTHING out produces fresh fish from the water that the catfish swim in...PERIOD!! :wink:

    Furthermore, under IGFA rules using a mammal as bait will make your catch ineligble for any IGFA recrods.

    Interesting photography in the video. I did not know bats were fishers. Learn something new every day. I guess living in a cave in Belize limits their diet.

    I tried to get Bearfrog1 to swat 1 down and use it but he wouldnt even touch an eel so he wasnt going for the bat.LOL:big_smile:
