I was just curious if anyone was doing any fishing for flats during these winter months around my state and if they had any luck?

Flathead fishing in your area is very difficult this time of year, because of the cold water temps.

it is. the rivers flood where im at and alot of big cats get stuck in an area near my families house and when it dries out me and my brother-in-law find alot of 20-50 pound flats that never make it back to the river when it dries out. In our eyes its like saveing the beached whales. we just release them back to the river after a few pics are taking of course... so i dont see the harm in that.
