first off let me say thanks to our men and women who serve.

my memorial weekend since i quit drinking i spent most of my time at home on the deck cooking. and watching the weekend rain events at lowes motor speedway.

friday i cooked chicken on my new charcoal turkey roaster. one whole and 3 bacon wrapped breasts. coated in rub. through some chopped zuchinni and yellow squash, mushrooms, onion, peppers, on skures. and also had chopped shrimp, mushrooms, and creem cheese on jalapeno 1/2's with bacon on my brinkman.

had 3 of my 4 outdoor cookers going. heres some pics.

I smoked some baby back ribs for 2 1/2 hrs then pour BBQ sauce on them wrapped them in aluminum foil and put back on the smoker for 2 1/2 more hours. When I took them off of the smoker pulled the bones out and chopped them up and made sandwiches, mmmmm good.

Only Monday. T bones and Strips marinated in Merlot, Olive oil, and Garlic, And Brauts started in Beer, Garlic, Rosemary, and just a touch of Habanero sauce.

All done over Charcoal with damp mesquite for xtra smoke.

Sweet corn with green peppers and brussel sprouts, crescent rolls and Biscuits.

Beer and Zinfandel to wash it all down.

I had the smoker going too! lol I did a pork roast, brisket and a slab of ribs. Made some seven layer salad and corn bread. It just feels like the right thing to do on a summer holiday.

I agree Steve I do the same thing. I have a gas smoker and I smoke for
about 2 hr. and then wrape with aluminum foil. In 2 hrs. the meat will
take smoke good and the cooking time is greatly reduced. I do ribs and
butts this way. Meat falls off the bone as you say.
