You guys also convinced me on Yamaha...

I been a long time lover of ETEC, still am, but overall I dont see allot of issues about Yamaha's on the BOC.

Only issues I have found here, were isolated, and had been on the fuel system and issues with fuel injection, carbs, etc.

I suspect all outboard(s) have their issues..

Some of my tournament and guide contacts say they run them like they stole them, and have been doing it for years without issue..

My father in law has a 86 model yamaha 115 hp. Never had no real problems out of it at all... still runs like a top.. and he never runs the fuel out of it.:eek:oooh:

I was looking at the G3 1860 CC last year in the strip down version.. I liked it a lot because for one thing it's console was a little more forward than the sea ark with a separate bench seat for the pilot instead of the back seat doubling as the pilots seat.

Also, the G3 has more storage than most other boats of this style and size and a live well that can be used as a bait tank.

Been having a problem on my 150/105hp 08 Yamaha jet, burnt 2 qts of oil in 50hrs of use, took it g3/Yamaha dealer says i been running it hard:confused2: probably so with a 2500lb+ 20'x6' boat and only 105hp think its going to get maxed out a lot:big_smile: wished now I would have got a 200/140 e-tec, would have 30% more hp and weigh 50+ lbs less:wink:

Just checked out their website and saw it. They also had pic's of a 2072 CC DLX which was a surprise because I didn't know they we're making a 20' boat till' now. Looked like a solid rig fit for any Cat water's.

I have been eyeballin the 1966 CCT DLX package with the Yamaha 115, float pods, and 6" hyd jack plate all summer, finally got enough nerve to get a quote, 23 K. I have to wait one more year, then hopefully, God willin and the creek dont rise, and my 401K-mart recovers, that bad boy is mine!

Here she is. With a 6 deg hull combined with a prop tunnel and float pods, and 28" sides it should make a good transition boat, from shallow water to big water.

Barry, I think the 2010(s) have been totally redesigned.

    - Fuel tank was moved to the front

    - Recreational Livewell in the front of the nose

    - Wider beams

    etc..

    They are looking sweet.

Sounds like some good improvements, cant wait for them to showcase them on their web site.
