I'm going down to the Wilcox Wharf early Saturday morning. I do like fishing there. It's at least a cool place to be, wide open, huge power lines, noisy bardge right next to the pier. I'm not going to fish from the pier this time though. I'm going to move over and stay on the bank. The tide will be moving in ( I check the tide chart online before I fish)... If nothing else I will have some solitude and fun. ***a good bank fishing circuit if you want to fish all day but alot of places from Richmond is. Drive 95 south to Dutch Gap, then after leaving Dutch Gap go over the Varina Enon Bridge hook a right down to the Wilcox Wharf (Charles City) then on the way back Deep Bottom....4 mile creek, then continue down Rt 5 to the Osbourne boat landing. After that if you haven't got your day of fishing out of your system hit the Anabelle Lee area or "Eagel Cruises" whatever is docked there. Its a solid fishing day. (you may not catch a fish....but it's still a fun day out) good luck.
