Not a record but, is a personal record for me... Dreadnaught let one slip by him... I caught this one on the Ohio River just above Caseyville,KY.
Sorry, I tried to past a pic. Anyhow it's a Blue at 67 lbs.

This cat was caught on the Ohio River just above Caseyville ,KY 8:30 AM using "shad" for bait. I was using a Penn Reel (309) with 72 lb test braided line with 30 lb leader and 3/0 bait holder hook . It took me close to 40 minutes in strong current to land him. I also had a 20 lb 14 oz Blue and a 4 lb Blue on the other two poles at the same time. (got both of them too)

Wish I had taken pictures this week. The Ohio River is coming up and I have been hitting the small ditches along the river this week. So far I have taken in 48 head of channels ranging from 2 lbs up to 15 lbs... Going back this morning. I'll try to remember the camera this time.
Boys , if you're close to the Ohio and know where a ditch is close to home "Get in it " ! They are running this week. Soupy
