anyboby catching walleye in the mississippi yet

    Just wondering if anyone is havin any luck either around illinois in the mississippi river or north of that yet this year. It is still a little early were i live.

    I'd like to know too. I haven't even really thought of fishing for walleye in the Mississippi since you asked? Can it be good fishing? Where do you focus your fishing for them?

    I usualy catch a few around November below dams just letting a jig and a minnow bounce off the bottom with the current.

    Should be getting real good right now. Depending how far north you are, sauger should be real good right now too.
