Welcome to the BOC, from Bennettsville, SC. Every time I ever crossed the Savannah River, when traveling, I want to try it out. Too far for me to drive though. Good luck and keep us posted!

Tommy, what part of the Savannah River do you fish ?? I live/fish the lower end of the river from Savannah north to about Sylvania and although Ive never caught a flathead in this part of the river I have caught some really nice blues. The river gets pretty deep from Hardeeville south to Port Wentworth with some 30 to 35 ft. holes especially around where I95 crosses. This area is also tidal affected and the current runs fairly strong but is loaded with nice blues and smaller channels.
