The reason I'm asking is I just brought in a bunch of aluminum cans to the scrap yard (recycler) and I got 74 cents a pound, yee haa.
And they had a sign out front saying they were giving $2.25 a pound for clean copper and $2.00 a pound for dirty copper.
With prices like that I ain't throwing anything metal away.

i know the price of copper is through the roof. I work at Home Depot and contractors like to talk with me i guess because i like to talk. some of them are working demolition jobs on houses they are going in and pulling all the wiring out of houses and selling the scrap copper. pretty crazy.

You missed the hay day on copper. Back in the summer we were selling bright copper at 3.10 a pound.
