Any Pointers on Catching Skipjack

    hey guys,

    I've caught a few skipjack using a crappie spinner. Is there any better way to catch these cut bait beauties?

    First of all I want to welcome you to the BOC,now for your question about skipjack. There has been many a topic on them and if you go into the Boc Libarary you probably can find something on them .Give it a try its full of information on just about anything you want to know about fishing and bait.

    I find it hard to catch them with a cast net, the darn things are just so fast. We catch most of ours with Sabiki Rigs, but if going after the big ones we use a couple crappie jigs tied in a line with a stump jumper at the bottom. I think this bit of flash helps. Experiment with colors, but 99 percent of the time they will hit the jigs alot better if all three are the same color, looks more like a school.
