Any good fishing spots near lawton?

    Just wondering cuz i just moved here from OKC and i dont have the option of going to aracdia or eufaula every time i want to fish. i hear people down here talk about lake lawtonka, anyone know if its got any decent fish in it?

    Got Lawtonka, the 4 Duncan lakes, have Altus-Lugert to the west. Don't forget Ellsworth on the north side of Lawton. You're also about 45 minutes from Ft. Cobb. Also don't forget Waurika, Tom Steed or Frederick.
    Truthfully, I'm a bit envious of you, you now have about 2-3 times the lakes(within an hours drive) to fish now than when you was in OKC.

    Joe, Ellsworth, held the state record blue for a while. I've seen some some good fish come outta there.

    wow. i didnt think there would be all that many options out there, and so close too. thanks for the info. any recommended baits? from what ive been reading, pretty much everyone on here knows a lot more about catfishing than i do.
