any body know where and how to catch channel catfish and flathead on the potomac

    need some help never fished for channels or flatheads on the potomac , south of leesylvania state park. wondering if anyone has some spots to check and also what rig and what is the best bait for this time of year? thanks :eek:oooh:for any advice.

    I fish on the potomac up above Great Falls and catch channels on night crawlers and chicken livers. I don't know about catching flat heads but I know you can catch blues that far down river.

    There is some flats on the potomac but not many. I fish the potomac from Dam 4 to McCoys Ferry. Channels will bite on just about anything. Livers and nightcrawlers are good baits but I catch alittle bigger cats on cut bluegills.
