I was curious if we have any Boc members that work or worked on barges??I'm sure there is and I wanted to ask if you would share any funny or unusual experiences on the Barges.

I wasn't really a barge worker, but I had to spend some time on some TVA barges. My job was a quality control receiving inspector, and I had to make sure that warehousemen, clerks, teamsters, and some other folks got materials stored in the proper place with all the documentation that was required. Ha ha, and I remember fishing on the job sometimes when on evening shift and work was slow.

I could use some of that coal. It's supposed to get down to 18 degrees F in a night or two.

Wow,,,,,On a scale of 1 to 10 that would give you a "Pucker Factor" of about 78.
