anyone fishing the lake north of Anthony Ks , drive by it when heading north . Catfish ??????
Where'n hell is Anthony, other than being in Kansas? Does it look like a good place for a "mini gathering"? Give some details about camping, shore fishing, etc.:smile2:
Southwest of Wichita about 40/50 miles, out in the boonies. Its a small lake aprox 200/300 acres, Windfield city lake would be a better one
Welcome to the BOC Monty. Good luck on the fishing.
I, too am ignorant of this lake and town. So many lakes, so little time...
looked it up in my kansas lake book ,156 acres, max depth 7 foot, no listing on flats for the lake 10 fish limit on channels, and they run feeders
during the summer
Sounds like a good perch pond.:smile2:
Ya but there lots of them closer than that
Be nice to have a lake like that outside my back door withing easy walking
distance. Wouldn't even have to ask if I had fuel for the truck. Sigh!
Michael and Josh came over today, we went Catfishing, not much catching involved though:sad2::smile2:, but we had a great time visiting with each other, I consider it a great day.
Josh lost a couple of baits, had some real good bites, Michael even had a decent biteoooh::roll_eyes::smile2:. Then we got to see a beautiful sunset to boot.
Two more in the next post.
Josh had already left when I took this one, he was there for the sunset though.
Yeah, that's Michael down there, just before we decided to hang it up for the evening.
Its not all about catching fish. You guys picked a great day to be on the lake.
Great pictures Jim.
Great pics Jim.
Glad you got to get out Michael. Were you a lil cold?:smile2:
Not till the sun went down and Michael was sitting there in short sleeve's, and I had my "rag" jacket it on, I made him put his "sleeping bag" on, he didn't bring a jacket, :smile2::smile2:, made me feel colder just looking at him:smile2::smile2:
Tom, I think we all had a real enjoyable time, it's always a good time with Michael around:roll_eyes::wink::smile2:, Josh is real good company too. Oh yeah, did you forget my number? You said you were going to call, uh, yesterday I think:smile2::smile2::smile2::smile2:
Anthony City Lake is known as a great crappie lake most years...
Why didnt you loan Mike a jacket Jim ??? :smile2:
Because the jacket would explode from the seams when I flexed my
mighty muscles, Keith. My manliness cannot be so contained!
Keith, I left my insulated tent at homeoooh::roll_eyes::smile2:
And the only "mighty muscel" I've seen on Michael, is the one just above his belt buckle,(if he's wearing one:confused2oooh::wink::smile2:
