The season for cats is pretty much over here now on the Red River in the Selkirk/Lockport area. The water temps are down to about 53F. We tried briefly in a productive spot yesterday and only got two at about 26" in an hour and a half. There were cats still feeding on the surface at that spot. The hunt is seriously on for Greenback Walleyes with 25+ boats on the river every day. Had a good one bite the whole back end off a Storm swim bait that I was jig/trolling today. There are fish up to about 28" taken every day and it is really just starting over the last week or so. Lots of sauger are being caught.
