Just wanted to introduce myself. I just got a boat and am new to catfishing, but am very interested in learning the ropes. I have trout fished up on the rim since I was a youngster and look forward to fishing on these closer lakes for some catfish.
I live in Peoria, and head up to lake pleasant about every weekend. If anybody might be interested in showing me some ideas or skills we can take my boat out or if you don't mind I can tag along with you on yours.
I have a lot of reading to do here, so I might as well get started now. You people have supplied a lot of material. Thank you!

    Eryc

p.s. kkattfish is a handle I have used for a long time on other forums, not just a new one for this forum, though it is more appropriate here... lol

Thanks guys, it's nice to see you welcome the noobs. I'll be out at pleasant all weekend. Do some fishing as well as some skiing. If anybody else is gonna be out there let me know. Maybe we can meet up for some night fishing.

Welcome KKatfish. Looking forward to seeing your posts. I agree with what Gethooked said about releasing the big ones. We are starting to get a lot of people chasing cats in AZ, and we sure don't have as much big cat water as some of the eastern states.

I'll be sure to put the big one's back no worries.
I go to Yuma for work once in a while, so I may have to take you Yuma guys up on your offer.
