seems fishing shallow is the way to go this time of year do I need to drift or anchor and fish on bottom. I really appreciate all the help I've been getting. We may not catch a thing tomorrow but we will be one step closer to learning the lake.

Mark, I hope your trip goes good for you today. Give us an update when you get back. The shallow fishing I do is in 6 feet of water or less and the stumps in these areas would make it almost impossible to drift. Anchoring and throwing a carolina rig is my preference for this. I consistently catch fish in water where I have to trim my motor up. You wouldn't think big fish would be in 2 feet of water, but trust me, they are there!
