Got three fish last night the biggest was this 33lber. All fish came using a kat bobber fished about 6-7ft deep using a bullhead.

Nice one, rob. Was he able to pull that cat-bobber under? I recently bought 3 of their smallest size, but haven't had a chance to try them as yet.

I use the second from the largest sized Kat Bobber (4.5in) with a 3oz eggsinker to keep the bait down and a bullhead. Even a 5lber can pull it under for a short time but a fish over 15lbs will pull it under and it will dissapear. The fish last night reminded me of the scene in Jaws when they shoot the harpoon attached with barrels at the shark. The bobber with a glow stick wrapped around it went cruising across the top of the water for about 5 ft then dissapeared out of sight untill I got it to shore.

    Thanks guys!

Here ya go Gene all the info.

    7' Ugly Stick Tiger
    TICA Sportera 4507 Spinning reel
    16/65lb Power Pro Line
4.5in Kat Bobber wrapped with a glowstick
    3oz egg sinker
9in leader(same line as main line)
    8/0 Octopus Gama Circle hook
    Bullhead

Fished about 6-7ft deep in a giant eddy. I guess the bait was suspened about 1-3ft off the bottom depending where in the eddy it was. I just let the current carry the bobber and bait around. It was the thrid fish of the night so seeing the bobber take off wasnt too crazy untill it went deep enough to where I couldnt see the glow from the glow stick under the water anymore. The fish felt alright but I didnt realize how big it was until I noticed I wasnt pulling him in as much as he was swimming upstream and had to change his mind before he got past me. He didnt like that. I was by myself so I had to almost beach him before I could grab him and he didnt want anything to do with being near shore. He felt the bottom on his belly and would try to take off but I landed him, weight him, took some pics and watched him swim off. He wasnt close to the biggest fish I have ever caught but I cant think of a more fun way to catcha big flat than with a kat bobber!

That is sweet if you don't mind me asking what size of bullhead do you usually use.

That is one good looking fish you caught. just wish I could catch a darn fish(any size ). Now after all the info you gave what I really want to know is Just where do you get these cat bobbers your talking about. Found some fairly long bobbers at wally world but don't know if that is what your talking about. These are about 5" long but don't seem like they are very durable. Help me out please.
