Another good day fishing

Sam was off Monday and I couldn't take off but I felt really bad yesterday and took off work:wink:. Me, a guy at work Sam has dubbed Sir Charles and my uncle Lonnie hit Kerr lake and had a blast. It was a beautiful day that started out in the upper 20's but warmed into the 50's. The water temp was 44 degrees and the bite was on. We caught a bunch of eaters but also boated several 10 to 15, a couple 18 and 19 and I caught one that went 31.96 lbs. My uncle had one on that we never got a look at that he couldn't get up. He got it up high enough for it to burp and about the time the bubbles cleared it done a nose dive and broke his line:crazy:. Bait used was fresh caught cut shad. Another boat from our pole bender club was also out fishing and they caught one that weighed 29.5 and caught close to 50 fish total. To many pics to post so I made a slide show to make it easier to view.

Sam, Skippy, 777, March 1st is a sinker making gathering at the nuke plant, are ya'll gonna be there? I need someone to help me coerce a catfish to get on my hook so I can go "Look DH, I really can catch a catfish bigger than 1/2 a pound!!!
Well we ain't responded yet cause were not sure about our tournament schedule...but we will know pretty quick what's going on......but rest assured T-dawg i bet if we get to come we can muster up something for Johnny to take a picture of:eek:oooh::tounge_out::smile2: Will know more at the end of next week.....But if we make it we got a spot over there some blues usually hang out at....fresh bait will be the concern cause something ain't right at the out-let...nothing, nodda, zip.....:sad2:
Good job Johnny I just hope you did not find one of Teague's honey holes you know how jealous he is. ha ha we will see ya'll this weekend

Hey Johnnie, remember that spot they wanted to leave alone until tourney day that we never got to fish? I'm thinking that could have been the difference. They were holding out on us. Figured if they sent us both home with a gigantic bag full of eater-size fillets that we wouldn't be onto 'em.:smile2:

Well.......it was more like 9 days in between the aforementioned trips but who's counting?

Just kidding around, you know that! Right Sam?
Darryl, we still haven't hit that spot yet, probably get hit hard tomorrow:wink:. We were actually in another spot thats good for numbers usually but there was a few good ones trolling the area as well. We were going to fish that area with you and Johnnie but Sam wanted to fish up Sans Bois so get on to him :smile2::tounge_out::eek:oooh:.

Starting to look more like Sam might be the root of all this hexing that going around!

Heading to Texoma!! WOO HOO! Joe had to cancel on me though, think he's gonna try to help me get some shad tonight though if I can get there early enough.
Joe will be able to let you know a good spot to fish also. Are you going to be able to stay til Sunday? Maybe he can get away to go then. Tell him I said hey and if not before i'll see him at splash.
Will do.

Due to my unexpected change in plans I got a little bit of an early head start. Planned on packing and finishing up this evening but now I just ran home and crammed some sacks full 'o sh!t and I am outta here, heading south.:cool2:

Man, I hope I don't get skunked, fishing alone on new waters and I know how that normally goes for me.:smile2:

Good luck on the tourney! After you have it in the bag, send some luck my way!
Pass that "HEX" ya got skip on to Joe!!:smile2::tounge_out: Then tell him i said howdy. There is fish where i told ya to go......I can feel them all they way from here:wink::smile2::tounge_out:
Alright Sam, thanks for the tips! Got me all worked up now.:smile2:

Signing off and rolling south.
