went out today fishin for channels. me and a buddy wound up with 33. i only caught 12 of them but my fish were much larger than his. haha. of the 12 i caught, 8 of them were 4 to 8.5 #'s. i had a 7.5,8 and 8.5 the rest were in between. i have had a pretty awesome 2006 so far! ive caught 43 cats so far this year! 2 flats and 41 channels and fishing hasnt even got good yet! looking forward to what is starting out to be the best cat year ever!

Hey, you're from my neck of the woods!! I used to live in Caneyville before moving to Warren county. Glad to hear of your luck. Where did you go?

Keith, that was a great day on the water. Congrats to you. Wish I had been there, LOL. This year has really been slow for me, but I hope to get back out there next week and start making progress!

nice start of the year that is for sure. I have went 4-5 times this yr. and have only caught a few 2 lbers. and that was on the 1st. Skunked the other times and maybe only 3 bites total. Were you fishing lake or river? We've tried the lake at dif. areas. What baits have they been hitting on?

I have a good friend from my Navy days that was from bowling green. Gerald Hogan, He is a sheriff now. haven't kept up in a while, I prob. should call him some time. He is about our age, ever heard of him? Prob. a long shot but just asking.

Can't say that I've heard of him.I've been living here for about 6 years, but actually live about 15 miles from Bowling Green , northern Warren county, right across the road from Green River Lock 5 . I do alot of catfishing on Green and on the Ohio at Cannelton. Fish Rough River alot, for crappie mostly. I haven't tried around North Fork for cats but there's some real good crappie fishing.
