Grilled doves marinade 2T oil 1 small onion,chopped 1 1/2 C catsup 1C water 1/2 C red wine vinagar 1/3 C packed brown sugar 3 T lemon juice 2T worsterchire sause 1/2 t pepper 1/4 t dry mustard 6 whole doves,skin on In a 2 qt saucepan,heat oil over med . heat.Add onion. Cook 2-3 minets till tender,stir in remaining ing. Bring to boil over med h heat.Reduce heat to med low,simmer 15-20 min. or till slightly thickened.Remove from heat,cool completely. Split each dove down the back and flatten.Place doves in a 9" square baking dish.Reserve 1/2 C marinade,referigerate. Pour remaining marinade over doves,turning to coat.Cover with plastic wrap,refrigerate 8 hrs or overnite,turning occasionally. Prepare grill for medium direct heat.drain and discard marinade from doves.Arrange doves on grill,cook for 8-12 minutes,till meat is no longer pink,turning dovesand brushing with saved marinade occasionally.
