    Hey jay that is plum neat. I wished they would have made a picture of it though. A find like that would thrill any one that likes older relics.

    That is really cool Jay, thanks for sharing. We had a gentleman here in my town who had a collection of over 400,000 Indian artifacts. He had quite a few hooks made from various materials, but none anywhere close to that size. Wonder why they didn't include a picture :sad2:?

    A hook sized for sturgeon or a large catfish!?! BAH!

    Anyone who fishes knows it is for a catfish. No other sport in the world involves as much "lost tackle" as catfishing!

    thats pretty sweet. if it were me id probably put it in my tackle box cuz im too stupid to tell that kind of stuff. thatd be kinda funny wouldnt it, this guy finding an ancient fish hook and using it.. yup that would be me

    Cool, but that hook looks pretty fragile to hold medium to large cats. And glued on? Eaters, yes, but otherwise, i'm skeptical.

    i thought the hook would be a little more crude
    but it was alot nicer than i imagined for being so old
