Hit the water today at 6:30 am. It was a comfortable 42 degrees with a lite breeze. Timein was perfect. Tide was gonna head out at 7am and the breeze was gonna be headin the same way. Can't ask for a better time to anchor. Water was 65 degrees. Took a nice 20 minute ride down river.and set up. It was on!!!! LOL! Set up in 15 feet of water and fished back to a nice flat and a channel ledge on the other side of the boat. Had to fish only 4 poles thats how much action there was. LOL! Now comes the part where ya tell me I'm full of you know what. Gerry caught a flounder in the river. LOL! In all my years of poundin this river I ain't never caught a flounder. The usual pics are attached to bore ya. ENJOY!

Nice pics and grats on a great trip.
When the river I fish gets low it gets brackish and you can catch all kinds of things.
Some salt species stay there all the time though.
    Crabs mullet and stripers.
Have to admit I have never caught a flounder. I dont know if id know how to even clean one.

You really catch some weird sh@%t on the Big D.

The summer of 06, I saw peanut bunker aka pogies at Fairmount Dam. Have caught snapper blues, croakers and spot by the Commodore Barry.

It's not the first time I've heard of a fluke caught on the Delaware. Supposedly a guy caught a 24 incher at the Frankford Arsenal.

As normal it looks like you all caught all the fish. Congrats and good luck in the future. That is a good looking flounder..............not that I ever saw one, kind of looks like good cut bait.
