I build my own, but a few yrs back I had ordered a couple american spirit 8' Hvy nightsticks, I kept them in plastic untill this past march and give them to my grandson for his birthday. My Bro just bought a 9' nightstick..and fish's it well..I think you cannot go wrong with the rod, If you get the action, power, and line class rod you are hunting for.. The weight of the rod is the only thing I had against it.

I bought a American Spirit Night Stick series glow tip about two months ago. Its a nice rod and seems to be built pretty well. The tag says "special construction to meet the challenge of the largest catfish" and even has a picture of a flathead on it, lol :smile2:. I would really like to challenge the claim. Anyways I like it, so far so good. Oh ya, the price was hard to beat for a heavy action 12' pole.

Talking $17 range for some models of their fishing rods.

What kind of reel you got on that bad boy? I got a Okuma saltwater spinning reel. I can cast a country mile if need be, lol.
