Yes, *very* attractive reel. I have a friend in Japan, who found me a couple of store display models, no box, just "touchie-feelied' on the rack, as display models undergo, which are not under glass or behind the counter. No scratches/dings/ blems.

if your friend in japan runs across any more can you see how much it would be to get them? I have looked all over for that reel in my area. I just want to try one, they seem like the perfect reel for big blues. I do not care if they are ugly, scratched, as long as they are functional.
    Thanks

    Hio, S2...the 7800 is,in reality, a blinged up 7000C3. 4.x-1 tranny, 3 bb's as 2 spool, one crank boss.

Hio, GMC....the plain Jane 7000/7000B/7000C3 should be available somewhere in your trading area, on the secondary market.

The _latest_ 7000i reels are at big boxes like Academy, Wally,
Cabela's, Bass Pro, etc, plus independant outlets.

I should see the reels anyday now, as they (as they say) are in the mail.

Hi, GH, if it was a golden 'big game' 7000, you did well. if it was the Record, with the stylized fish on the sideplate, you did *very* well.

I suspect it was the big game model, tho.
