Aluminum boat road holders

    I have an older v bottom aluminum boat that has oarlock's on it. anyone have any ideas on turning these into rod holder's somehow?

    I suppose you could use them as receivers for the rod holders. Would depend on the rod holder though.

    that's what i was hoping for, but have not come across anything of that nature online or at Bass Pro.

    if anyone knows of a supplier and can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it greatly!

    You might be onto something there. Sounds like a great idea but I can't say that I've seen something commercially made for those.

    How does something like THIS or THIS look for you?

    I know that there are other rod holders that are designed to fit into oarlocks.

    Cabela's rod holders (25 yr warranty!) are available with an oarlock adapter (identical to the Scotty linked by Tony).

    I have them on my skiff, and my only complaint is they're somewhat bulky.
