I bought a 1448 (same boat just 2 feet shorter) last summer and put a 25 yamaha on it. You must weigh a lot less than I do, cause mine will only run 30 with just me in it. Mine is holding up well, i did some 2 foot waves over the summer. i ran down the river a ways and up into a creek, when we got done fishing and got back to the river the waves were white capping pretty good. I took it slow and kept the bow up with no troubles. I figure if she'll hold up to that kind of pounding she should hold up for a while. Somebody at work has an older one and still uses it for duck hunting in the winter. His still works fine.

I had a 1648 MV for 16 years. I treated it pretty rough but it held up pretty good. The rivets never did leak. Had to weld up a couple holes from the rocks, but that was my fault. Caught a lot of fish out of that boat.
