I was supposed to fish the Catfish Classic this weekend but since plans have changed, I went to the Altamaha river instead. Rained most of the night, thank goodness I invested in some good rainwear. Caught lots of good bream for bait during the late afternoon. Ended up catching 8 flatheads- 6 were between 4-8 pounds, 1 was 12 pounds and 1 was 28 pounds. River is low but the water temperature is dropping (76 degrees). Fishing should get even better especially if the rain brings the river up a little bit...
