Went and fished the Altamaha Tuesday and Wednesday night. River still a little full and the tides were rough - about a 7 foot swing from low to high. Fishing below Altamaha Park. Only caught one small flathead(5 pounds) but lots of small channels and bream during the day. Nature's other creatures didn't disappoint either. 3 Bald Eagles and a small spotted fawn along the bank. The full moon was beautiful also.

Not any eels. Surprisingly, I don't catch many eels downriver but I do catch more when I fish up around Jesup.

We were bank fishing this passed weekend for channel cat... We caught a few nice eating fish but the ells were killing us. If we had been ell fishing it would have been a great day... lol

Going to altamaha park for a week on june 20 maybe the fishing will pick up,if not the mullet and blue gill should be a sure bet. Maybe the river will fall out some more.
