Altamaha River- 55 pound flathead.

    Talked with a buddy of mine that saw a 55 pound flathead this past weekend taken on a limbline out of the Altamaha River. Think he said the guy was showing it at Altamaha Park. He has a picture on his phone. I asked him to send it to me and I will post it when I get it.

    Hopefully this will be the last cold snap and things will start warming up. Got the itch bad. Would like to see those pics too.....

    Went down to the landing just to visit and talked to a couple of guys that put in yesterday while I was there. Of course they were the only ones on the water at 9 am. It was some kinda cold. They were heading out to check their lines. Did not wait for them come back.

    River is up and rising to 9 ft. by Fri or Sat. I have changed lines out and done a good bit of maint on my equipment so when the time comes I am ready.....

    It's gonna be a while for me. I replaced a battery in a car today. The old one was frozen solid.......:sad2:

    The water temp was 52 degrees according to my lowrance last friday at altamaha park.
