I've been watching Des Arc Bayou where I fish and it is now only about 1 foot low. 1 good rain to bring it up and put a little current in it is all I need. This morning Sam and I went and put out 4 trotlines without hooks so we will be ready when the rains come. Then I will show you how to catch those monster 5# flatheads. hahaha. grizzly

In North Carolina we have all the water you need.Looks like I might get to fish this weekend after two weeks of flood stage.

With the radar showing rain coming, I baited my lines this evening and barely beat the rain out. Hope it keeps it up all night so I didn't waste my bait. I'll let you know how I did in the morning after I check my lines. grizzly

Hey Brian, They are calling for 2 inches for most of the state before it's over tomorrow. Are you fishing the bayou down around Des Arc or closer to home? I hope you tear them up. Good luck and let us know how you did.

I said I'd report my luck, and it wasn't good. Zero, zilch, nada, nothing, the big Goose Egg. Not 1 catfish of any description, 1 gar and 4 grinnel with no bait at all left on the lines. The gar and 3 of the grinnel were allready dead with turtles eating on them. Low oxygen content may be a lot of the problem right now. We got 1& 1/4 inch of rain, just not enough to do much for the bayou. I sill enjoyed being on the water, lookng at the cypress trees that are still there just like when I was a kid, watching the squirrels in the trees, the cottonmouths on the logs, NOT. Think I'll carry the 410 next time. Greg I'm fishing close, just about due south of Griffithville. Pastor Ed, how much rain did you get? I need that water coming down Bull and Cypress, it all comes together down my bayou. Talk to yall later. grizzly
