I have been down to the ABQ Drain a few times over the winter, and have landed quite a few carp. I've been using powerbait, worms, and doughbait. Went today and caught 18 fish in all. I caught 1 carp, 1 bullhead, 1 bass, and 15 suckers.

The first two carp are from a previous trip, the third is from today.

Have you you ever used cut carp as catfish bait? I tried it once and it worked.

Check out this clip http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qhyXcOrXvTk I I found this on youtube. Its mostly carp and a couple of nice flatheads that were caught in the irrigation canals and Rio Grande around El Paso and Las Cruces.

Yeah man I use carp all the time as cutbait. I prefer to use suckers though.
