I have fished alamo since I was a kid. The best advice I can give is if you are shore fishing take the turnoff toward wayside and start hitting the forks in the road untill you hit water. Bring extra heavy tackle and you have to horse the cats up fast. With all of the trees that are underwater they tend to find ways for getting off your line. If you are fishing from a boat fins a cone and start there. look along the shorelines for shad that are running. Hope this helps and good luck.
