Along with the stripers I think the flathead that were in Alamo are gone.
Lots of nice channel cats though.
    Good luck.

What happened? Fish die off? I haven't been to Alamo since 91.

Don't really know what happened to the flats in Alamo. I caught a few back in the mid 80's but haven't caught any or heard of any being caught in a long time. Game and fish still lists flathead for Alamo though but does not show stripers on the list even though the inland state record came from Alamo lake. So who Knows?

Why would they stock it. They recommend you don't eat the fish from there.

I have eaten all of the fish I have caught out of Alamo. It gets water from the Bill williams arm right off of the colorado river. Never caught a flat but plenty of big channels. Good luck.
