I love my grandchildren, I was in the Army for 23 years and my children was grown before I knew it. I have a second chance to do what parents do. My children saw the world as they were growing up. yep we traveled alot. :D

    Jon,

My solution to the stigma of being called grandpa is, I tought all four of my grandkids to call me "Uncle Mike" when we are out in public. But then, I did the same thing with my kids... just different reason though.

    Congratulations!

You realize that Grandkids are a parent's revenge on their children or at least that is what I told my son.

Borrow 'em, spoil 'em and return 'em!

I'll try to get a pic up mon.

The rod and reel is a no brainer(watch it wolfie :p ) zebco 33,cheap and reliable.

On a serious note-I think those little 3 foot snoopy/barbie set-ups create a bad enviorment for kids.Sets them up for failure. Can't cast worth a hoot and tangle easy.May be ok from a boat, but from the bank a kid can only get it out 10 feet or so,then they jerk it back 8 feet when they lift it up and engage the reel.
