Advice for fishing Lake Clendenning

    my daughter and i are going to clendenning next week.any advice for catching a flathead or two.we have fished the lake for two years with live gills and cut shad without catching a single flattie.we have fished the dam area mainly.any other spots we can try for better luck?thanks!

    stay shallow and around tree-tops and udercut banks around heavy structure,they are in spawn right now and will be shallow and tight to cover

    tony is right, cutbanks, rootsystems, heavy structure...don't be afraid to move your baits around also. they aren't moving around much to eat right now, but if you place your baits right they are gonna attack it!!

    I have seen them in a foot of water right against the bank or under it
