    Has anybody done this?

I talked to a guy tonight who has a boat that this has been done to.

I'm real inerested in this. It would improve overall stability and decrease draft which should improve speed and fuel economy.

The middle pontoon could just hang when the boat was trailered.

And I guess the middle toon would just be a few feet shorter to staw in front of the transom.

I'm going to do some research. Any input?

I think Catfish Fever, "Jim" did this also.

He should see this and chime in.

I did this to a 21' party barge because it liked to submarine if to much weight got forward of the center line..I complained to Tracker dealer and he said that they had developed a third pontoon to cure this..of course I had to pay for it...the third pontoon was only about 1/3 as long as the other pontoons,,,,reason being,,,any longer it would disrupt water flow to motor causing cavitation of the prop and possible loss of water to the intake of the water pumps....It did help with stablility,,,stopped submarining and helped with performance by causing the other two pontoons not to plow as much water and riding higher in the water ....just my 2 cents worth...good luck
